Schnitzer Group is an independent and globally active technical service company. Since 1992, it has been primarily active in the automotive industry, specializing in the industrialization of complex technical development and ramp-up projects. In these projects, Schnitzer Group works according to the holistic SYSTEMIC Upgrade method.
We combine technology and management
60 experienced Schnitzer employees work in collaboration with our customers to supply specialist know-how in the project, technology and quality areas that is tailored to the situation. Our team members come from different backgrounds. Nearly all employees have a technical education or a degree in engineering. We are rooted in our trade and have never lost touch with it. Shortened development cycles, new technologies, supplier problems, modified production processes, alternative materials and relocation of tools and systems – all these factors slow down the product creation process (PEP) and require attentiveness. In these bottleneck situations, we provide support continuously or in a "task force" setup – with full deployment worldwide. For analysis, we offer in-depth technical expertise: Knowledge of tooling and equipment, materials and process in addition to knowledge of the emotional and social connections among the people involved.

Coporate History
Peter Schnitzer creates Schnitzer Logistic Services und Fabrikplanung as a startup in Bietigheim-Bissingen, Germany.
The company changes its name to Schnitzer Anlauf- und Projektmanagement GmbH.
A new location is opened with its headquarters in Wangen im Allgäu.
Peter Kienzle becomes the Managing Director and head of the Bietigheim-Bissingen location.
Schnitzer Anlauf- und Projektmanagement GmbH kicks off its activity in Asia.
An additional location is opened in Weißenburg, Bavaria
Lorenzo Ossi comes on board, adding a new expert office in Turin, Italy.
Founding of Schnitzer Consulting Shanghai Co. Ltd. at the German Centre for Industry and Trade Shanghai.
Founding of Schnitzer International Swiss GmbH in Zürich.
Through SYSTEMIC, Schnitzer Group has established itself as a globally active technical service provider.
Relocation from Bietigheim-Bissingen to modern and spacious facilities in the old Salamander shoe factory in Kornwestheim.
The company is realigned to form a non-hierarchical campus organization and a holding structure is established with the German Schnitzer Group GmbH und Co KG.
Founding of Schnitzer Group USA, Inc. in Charlotte, NC.
Schnitzer Group celebrates 25 years as a company.
Expansion of office capacity at the Wangen location.
