DEDICATION
The broad spectrum of Schnitzer Group's involvement.
Schnitzer Group takes a great interest in everything that is going on in the world and views itself as a living and caring part of society in the specific regions of its locations. This is why we get involved – in a number of ways – in various charitable, cultural, educational and athletic areas, both locally and interregionally. The following summarizes a series of projects, initiatives and associations, some of which we have been supporting for several years.
We have been a partner of the University of Applied Sciences Ravensburg-Weingarten (RWU) for many years. We provide the RWU with support for a variety of events, such as the career fair. In addition, we enhance to lectures by providing practical contributions.
By being a member of Kunststoff Campus Bayern, Schnitzer Group is concerned with promoting science, research and education for the coming generations.
The Leichtbauzentrum Baden-Württemberg is a cross-sector, industry-driven network of numerous companies, universities, research institutions and associations in Baden-Württemberg that are active in the field of system-efficient, hybrid lightweight construction.
The Forum Luft- und Raumfahrt Baden-Württemberg is a cross-sector, industry-driven network of numerous companies, universities, research institutions and associations in Baden-Württemberg that are active in the field of aerospace.
This Wangen-based association is concerned with the sustainable development of rural areas in Uganda. This includes the expansion of school education, training and sustainable income security for the local population. For this purpose, the Schnitzer Group has financed a school sponsorship and already two water wells. In addition, regular donations are made for food and first aid to a children's home in Kamukongo/ Uganda.
Through the personal membership of Managing Director Peter Schnitzer, social, local and global projects are supported. One of the long-term projects is the Nepal-Hilfe Overlack.
The personal passion for handball resulted in support from Schnitzer Group for MTG Wangen in order to continue enjoying athletic success.
The Wangen festivals are a permanent fixture of the cultural activities in Wangen. Thus, it goes without saying that Schnitzer Group is glad to continuously support the ensemble in its work for the open-air summer theater that takes place every year.
An active community life strengthens social contacts. Personal initiatives, sportsmanlike conduct and the ability to work as a team are characteristics that ensure continued development – both professionally and personally.
Each year, this association holds a mountain biking event in the summer for all skill levels. The event includes beginners, families and pro-level participants. Schnitzer Group is a sponsor of this event and traditionally sends its own ambitious team to participate each year.
Enjoying exercise and athletic activities keeps your head clear and your body in balance. Athletic competition is fun. This is why Schnitzer Group supports this sports association.
At the end of the school year, the Schnitzer Group takes over the middle school sponsorship award at the humanistic high school in Wangen. It is a motivational award for the best students from grade 10. We are also a sponsor of the yearbook.
tutti d*amore is a Berlin music theater collective that liberates withered opera*ettes from their reputation as an outmoded art form. They are a cocktail of professional artists from various fields of music and theater who want to move more with this art form than just being its performers. They see themselves as a medium that dissects, twists, kneads and serves up spicy-crisp opera*ette. The Schnitzer Group supports art and culture at regular intervals.
Mountain hiking, climbing as well as mountain and ski tours on trails, hiking paths and via ferratas contribute significantly to the well-being of many people. With our commitment to the Deutschen Alpenverein (DAV), in particular the Wangen im Allgäu section (construction of the climbing tower), we contribute to the preservation of the mountain environment.
For the city of Wangen im Allgäu, the Landesgartenschau 2024 is an event of the century, a milestone in urban development and reorientation. At the Landesgartenschau, our BEV concept vehicle "Upgrader", in which flax panels are installed for a light but robust exterior cladding, will be presented to the general public for the first time. Flax once brought prosperity to Wangen. Today, it is considered a sustainable material and makes automotive construction more environmentally friendly. We at the Schnitzer Group are proud to be actively involved in the Landesgartenschau.
